Awhile back I was incredibly lucky that a fellow expat, friend, and blogger offered to do up a custom blog for me and let me use some of her hosting for free. All I had to do was buy my own domain name which I had been wanting to do for ages so it was a really exciting opportunity.
Since then my blogging has waxed and waned and then I was notified the very generous free hosting was coming to an end and what would I like to do. I realized that while I do enjoy blogging I did not enjoy it enough to pay for hosting and then also figure out any technical issues that might arise from being in charge of said hosting.
Blogging for me has always been a hobby, I have never tried to monetize it, and there have been times when I have felt pressure that I was not being the perfect “expat” blogger or really any title you can think of to fit in those parenthesis.
So what I am going to do is use this as an opportunity to start fresh in many ways.
I have 813 posts right now that have been accumulating since 2011 and I think it is time to let go of them.
I will still be blogging, keeping my domain bailiehemborg.com and Brightly Bailie moniker, but it is going to be all new and fresh.
I think this is going to get rid of the writers block that comes from wanting to conform to other bloggers and my past posts.
It is really rather exciting and nervous making all at once.
The exact date of this version of what was once The Hemborg Wife and now Brightly Bailie to be ended I do not know but it will be soon.
Then like I said you will still be able to find me at www.bailiehemborg.com but it will look different and perhaps be more free and spontaneous!
